In Reply To you can't adjust fuel mixture at WOT with O2 sensors. posted by Bernie on September 17, 2000 at 07:59 AM

Message I notice that when I am running less than WOT, the translation works well and I can see it on the graphs as running either richer or leaner. BUT- when I go to WOT, it almost always jumps to .8V or so. I havent been able to change that. I knew the o2 sensors went open loop at WOT, but I havent done any reasearch into the SuperAFC - of which was on my list of TTD. Thanks for the feedback! I appreciate your input!

: the O2 sensors are open loop during WOT, so your method won't work for full throttle runs. it's better to intercept the MAS voltage and adjust it to fool the ECU to dump more or less fuel in... that's how the Apexi Super AFC works.

: : Additionally, I have written the code for mixture adjustments. Intercepting the o2 sensor information and adjusting that value real-time by whatever I please and then directing it into the ECU, I can fool the ECU into either dumping more fuel or less as to change the mixture.
